The Man Who Started It All

Bashir Anwar - Founder of Delhi Sweets & Bakers
1948 Founder
Since 1948 Legacy Master Confectioner Recipe Creator

The Legacy of Delhi Sweets. The story of Delhi Sweets is a journey of tradition, dedication, and generations of hard work. Bashir Anwar played an important role in establishing and developing this legacy, helping build a name known for authentic taste and quality.

Over the years, the business continued to grow while preserving traditional recipes and the original flavors of South Asian sweets. Each generation contributed to its success, carrying the family's passion and craftsmanship forward.

Today, Delhi Sweets stands as a symbol of tradition, trust, and authentic taste — keeping a proud heritage alive for future generations.

I didn't set out to open a shop. I wanted to create a place where people could bring their happiest days. That same spirit continues through every sweet we make today.

Our Story

A Recipe Book That Never Left the Family

It began in the bustling lanes of old Delhi, where the smell of simmering syrup and roasted almonds could stop a passerby mid-step. That same recipe book, worn at the edges, stained with ghee, filled with handwritten notes, travelled with us to Okara, and has stayed in the family ever since.

Even today, we measure success the old-fashioned way, not in likes or reviews, but in the smile of a grandmother who takes her first bite and says, "yes, this is the real taste." Every gulab jamun is still hand-rolled, every bake still proofed overnight, and every box packed as if it's heading to somebody's wedding, because more often than not, it is.

Three generations. One promise. Ever trusted since 1948.
Our Mission

Rooted in Okara. Loved Across Pakistan.

Delhi Sweets has found its way into nearly every household in Okara, and our mission is simple: never compromise the taste that was perfected in 1948, no matter how many shops we open.

Preserve the Original Recipe

No shortcuts, no artificial mixes. The same hand-ground spices, the same slow-cooked syrup, the same patience it took in 1948, every product still follows that exact method today.

Tradition First

The Pride of Okara

We're not just a bakery, we're part of Okara's identity. Being included in every wedding, every Eid, every small celebration is our greatest honor.

Community First

Reach Every Pakistani Table

Starting from Okara, we now want to bring our freshness and quality to every corner of Pakistan, without ever cutting a corner or changing the taste.
